Oliver's Hugs
Is there anything better than a hug from a fluff? If you’ve been following us on social media for a while you’ve probably seen photos of Oliver (one of our lilac Burmese cats) with his face buried in my neck and a little arm outstretched across my chest. He’s been a hugger from the day we brought him home and has a deep need to give hugs to pretty much everyone.
The moment I tried this cowl on it reminded me of one of Oliver’s Hugs and I knew that’s what it needed to be called.
Knit and gift this cowl with love and generosity of spirit to anyone in need of a hug, especially if it’s yourself.
Oliver’s Hugs is a lace cowl with optional beads. As written it makes a cowl long enough to wrap around your neck twice without being tight.
I used Harnie Hoolie’s Designs Alsilca 4ply for the orange version and Harnie Hoolie’s Designs Simere for the purple but any 4ply/fingering yarn with 400m per skein will work beautifully.
This pattern is both fully written and charted.
Yarn: 400m of 4ply/fingering weight yarn.
Beads: Beads are optional (But I highly recommend them!), you'll need approximately 480.
Needles: 4mm circular or straight needles.
Other: Stitch markers, 0.75mm crochet hook for adding beads, yarn needle, pins (for blocking).
